I have a soy allergy. Are KOL Foods products soy free?
With the understanding that every allergy and dietary restriction is different, we want to emphasize that we cannot guarantee that our products are 100% free of any particular allergen. We know that some people are more allergic than others, and want to emphasize that we cannot guarantee that our butchers are completely soy-free even if our beef and lamb products are. We cannot provide medical advice, for which you should consult your physician if you have specific questions.
Our cattle and sheep are 100% pastured and grass-fed and are never fed soy or grains. Our poultry are pastured, but also provided with additional feed that does contain soy. This feed is organic, GMO-free, free from antibiotics, hormones and arsenic and it is locally milled.
KOL Foods raw meat cuts and ground meat are butchered separately from any cooked products and do not contain soy. Our beef and lamb producers have confirmed that "No other products other than meat are ever brought into the raw-meat department. There is no contamination."
Our ready-to-eat foods (broths, sausages and deli meats) are made in an environment where soy is are used, but we do not use any corn or soy (or derived products), with the exception of our teriyaki-flavored Turkey Jerky and our Beef Jerusalem Sausage, which contain soy.
Our salmon does not, to the best of our knowledge, come into contact with corn or soy-derived products.
All of our meat is vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen immediately after butchering. It is stored in a freezer and shipped so that it stays frozen for delivery. This precaution should prevent any contact with potential allergens after it has left the facility. If you have any concern that is not addressed here, please feel free to reach out to us on our Contact Us page or by emailing info@kolfoods.com.
